Who is responsible for your data

ELAN Creative Thinking SA de CV (“ELAN”), Ameyalco #10 P.H., Mexico City, CDMX 03100, Mexico, is the data controller (responsable) for personal data collected through certifiedtranslations.com.mx. This notice is provided under Mexico’s Ley Federal de Proteccion de Datos Personales en Posesion de los Particulares (LFPDPPP).

What we collect

• Contact details you send us: name, email, phone number, and any message you submit through our contact form or WhatsApp.
• Documents you submit for quoting or translation: these may contain personal or sensitive data, including civil registry, immigration, academic, financial, medical, or legal information.
• Usage data: if you consent, analytics cookies record pages viewed, approximate location, device, and referral source.

How we use it

To prepare quotes, deliver translation and interpretation services, certify documents, communicate with you, meet legal and tax obligations, and, where you consent, to measure site traffic so we can improve the site. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your documents to train any model.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies are required for the site to function. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them. We implement Google Consent Mode v2: before you choose, analytics and advertising storage are set to denied. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, and Vercel hosting and analytics.

Confidentiality of your documents

Documents are handled only by the translators, interpreters, and reviewers assigned to your matter. We sign a non-disclosure agreement on request, and our information handling is aligned with ISO 27001. Certified translations are retained as required to support the validity of the certification and to meet legal and tax obligations, and are then securely deleted or archived.

Who we share it with

Only where necessary: assigned linguists and reviewers bound by confidentiality; service providers that host the site and process analytics and messaging; and authorities, courts, or registries when you ask us to submit documents or when the law requires it.

Your ARCO rights

You may request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, its cancellation, or object to its processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@certifiedtranslations.com.mx with your request and a means of identifying you. We respond within the periods set by the LFPDPPP.
