In Mexico, the Perito Traductor credential (court-authorized translator) is the legal standard for certified translations.

Common Questions
Does USCIS accept certified translations from Mexico?
Yes. USCIS requires that all foreign-language documents be accompanied by a certified English translation. ELAN's translations meet USCIS requirements. Our translators certify competency and accuracy in compliance with 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3).

What's the difference between certified and notarized?
A certified translation includes the translator's signed statement of accuracy. A notarized translation adds a notary's authentication of the signature — but does not verify translation quality. In Mexico, the Perito Traductor credential is the legal standard; notarization alone is not sufficient.
